On emploie fréquemment cette formule ("allez me chercher les suspects habituels") par allusion au film lorsqu'on demande à quelqu'un de rassembler des gens, ou bien, dans sa version tronquée, pour parler d'un groupe de personnes déterminé, comme dans l'exemple suivant: all the usual suspects were there at the party ("il y avait la bande habituelle à la soirée").
